How To Repair Power Button On Samsung Laptop Np470r5e

In case anyone has any ideas.. BIOS Freezing..

I friend asked me to encounter a very slow laptop with strange behavior on windows.

In fact the laptop is erstwhile, information technology was very badly treated and the strange beliefs is because the keyboard is broken (random cursor movements in windows).

But it also has a broken DVD Bulldoze, which causes a very slow BOOT at the beginning and for this reason I physically disabled it (I removed the Sata connector that connects to the board)

The notebook must accept been dropped a few times, some liquid must have been spilled and it must have acquired damage to the keyboard and some rust inside. Merely the board was working fine (apparently).

As everything was very dirty with grit and and then, I took everything out to remove the board and give information technology a cleaning with isopropyl alcohol and a contact cleaning spray, I replaced the thermal grease that was already dry and reassembled everything.

After a few attempts, between Resets, testing with and without retention, disk, etc etc, she decided to turn on. But it always enters the BIOS, if you lot endeavor to set the Engagement\Fourth dimension or 'Load Defaults' and save, information technology blocks. The adjacent time I plough it on, it goes back to the BIOS again merely it's locked, there'south aught you tin can do. The time and date is e'er the incorrect 1 (the ane I set before).

I can't become it to BOOT, the disk is detected correctly but it doesn't appear in the list of boot devices, it'south empty.

Now I don't really know what to exercise, pressing the Power button may do null (initial behavior) or it starts in the BIOS. I exam without battery, i soldered the original one again.. just no success.

When enters the BIOS i have no manner to choose the Boot order, because nothing is listed (all the same it detects Disk and Processor well...) in the BIOS initial tab..

If testing Load Defaults for example and doing Save blocks\freezes. I have to do that Hard Reset ("JCMOS""RTC RESET") and information technology starts all over again.. :\

Will reprogramming the BIOS fix it? I already bought a programmer but it hasn't arrived nonetheless.

It could be associated with the RTC clock and the CMOS\BIOS excursion... I have no idea.
